Jean "Mœbius" Giraud

Jean Giraud, né en 1938 et mort en 2012, était un dessinateur et scénariste français de bande dessinée, connu sous son propre nom mais également sous les pseudonymes de Mœbius et Gir.  En tant que Jean Giraud et Gir, il est le créateur de la célèbre série western Blueberry.  Sous le pseudonyme de Mœbius, il est l'auteur de bandes dessinées de science-fiction, telle que Le Garage hermétique, L'Incal ou Arzach, qui lui valent une reconnaissance internationale.:

Moebius - the Picasso/Matisse of sci-fi illustration. Plus I grew up on a steady dose of the "Blueberry" western comics he also did. I like the pink girlie-colors on this one. :-) much of his comics-work is sadly unavailable in English, allegedly due to his widow being weird, old and stubborn or something. But the scans of his paintings are floating around on the internet.:
